01Conditions and scope
This demonstration ran on October 2, 2026 in an existing Codex session using the Chinese first-page exercise. It was a contextual agent demonstration, not an independent beginner trial or an isolated model benchmark.
- Task
- An HTML/CSS page for fictional Lin, with a bio, photography/hiking/reading interests, and City Walk Notes.
- Constraints
- No external fonts, images, services, sign-in, or payments. Local work only.
- Environment
- A local macOS workspace and Codex in-app browser using a local HTTP preview. App version, exact model identifier, and usage were not independently recorded.
- Actions
- One first draft, one planned revision, browser checks, and source packaging. No user hand-editing of the example code was recorded.
02First draft: complete content
The draft used index.html and style.css. CSS shapes formed the mountains, sun, and path. A native disclosure element expanded the project text.

03One revision: larger text and more space
The planned teaching feedback enlarged the bio and increased the gap above the interests. It did not come from an independent beginner usability session.

Desktop bio: 17px → 20px. Mobile bio: 16px → 18px. Space above interests: 26px → 38px. The HTML was unchanged; only CSS changed.
04Observed checks
- Nickname, bio, three interests, and project: present.
- 1280px, 390px, and 320px viewports: no horizontal overflow.
- Project disclosure: expanded and collapsed successfully.
- Source: no external font, image, script, or service references.
- Direct file:// opening: unverified because of browser automation policy.
- Publication: not performed during this demonstration.
The checked local HTTP-preview criteria passed. Direct file opening remained unverified, so not all original requirements were verified. Coverage was limited to the tested browser and viewports.
05Interpreting the time record
The recorded window was 16:20:42–16:22:23 Beijing time: 101 seconds from reading the practice task through revision checks and packaging. It included tool round trips, browser checks, and screenshots, and excluded later article editing. It was not pure model generation time.
Cost, token usage, and independent beginner completion time were not obtained. This record cannot establish typical completion time or comparative model speed.
06Try the example yourself
Replace the nickname and bio, request a different revision, and compare the result before and after. The original evidence remains in Chinese to preserve the recorded run.
